Through 66 separate books, 1,189 chapters and hundreds of thousands of words, the Bible shares ONE extraordinary message: GOD LOVES YOU. And His love letter to the world is The BIBLE.

Description

Unlocking the Bible presents a brief survey and summary of all 66 books within the CONTEXT of God's LOVE and CONCERN for HIS PEOPLE. This learning circle covers one book each week through blended learning, both onsite and virtual.

Each lesson covers these topics:
1. AUTHOR: Who wrote the Book
2. DATE: When the Book was written
3. IN TEN WORDS OR LESS: What is the key theme in a nutshell
4. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: The key themes of the Book pointing to God’s character
5. DETAILS: A synopsis of key people, events and messages covered
6. CHRIST REVEALED: Reference to Jesus or type of Christ
7. THE HOLY SPIRIT: Role and influence of the Holy Spirit
8. QUOTABLE: Key verse/s from the book
9. UNIQUE & UNUSUAL: Facts that make the book stand out
10. SO WHAT: An inspirational or devotional thought for each book

LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Identify the purpose and key themes of each Book
2. Understand the genre, cultural and historical context and main purpose of the Book in regards to its original hearers
3. Apply its principles and practice to everyday faith life
