Symposiums, workshops, seminars, conferences are wonderful opportunities to meet, network and learn. But, can we better maximize the value and outcomes? We create a industry vertical-specific community and elongate the engagement through a facilitated and participatory experience.
Description
PMI Pune-Deccan India Chapter has taken an initiative to organize Quarterly series of Project Management Symposiums. These symposiums will focus on discussing project management perspectives on specific industry segments and current ongoing theme from that industry segment. This will also be another platform under PMI Pune-Deccan India chapter’s umbrella to facilitate experience sharing by PM practitioners and experts from the specific industry segments. This is a strategy that the chapter has undertaken to bring together the project management community from every industry segment, their eco-systems and connected communities.
These symposiums are organized to provide general directions, the industry segment is taking, in adoption of the PM best practices, newer opportunities for the community and solutions to the problems from project management perspective. We expect the symposiums to bring out fresh thoughts, new perspectives, defining the requirements for solutions, defining strategies to achieve success, recommendation of best practices and solutions to industry problems from project management perspective.

PJ is the Chief Architect of Learning Circles and creator of Wiztango.com a Digital Facilitation Technology Platform for Content Originators. He is an American with a global background as an entrepreneur in technology and education management.
In 2002, he founded and for fourteen years successfully managed an in-residence corporate university for Japanese employees of Hitachi Corp, Toshiba, Fujitsu, Yokogawa, Panasonic and 30 global Japanese corporations. The Singapore-based company achieved $8.9M revenue at its peak and had 1,000 Japanese graduates from 25 global-skill development programs.
In the past 25 years, PJ has had pioneering leadership roles in the digital transformation of multiple industries including Pre-Press (Israeli-based Scitex Corp), Photography (Boston-based Leaf Technologies), Printing (Dutch-based Indigo Corp) and Advertising (Boston-based Engage Technologies)
PMI Pune-Deccan India Chapter
PMI – Pune Deccan India Chapter is one of the youngest and fast growing and award winning PMI Chapters in the world with 700 plus registered members and many of these members are PMP Certified. It has set up a large professional community membership comprising of 9,500 members through the Chapter website and the local Yahoo group and is known for innovative program initiatives and activities. The primary area of operation of the Chapter is in and around the Pune District region. However, PMI - Pune Deccan India Chapter covers the entire Maharashtra and Goa States (Except the Mumbai Region). PMI - Pune Deccan India Chapter has achieved a lot in the last few years. The chapter provides continuous education opportunities to its members through monthly seminars, workshops, conferences and facilitates networking among members.
